My Goal

Building a program that creates great singers and even better memories

My philosophy of Music Education

I believe the choir classroom is a place where anyone and everyone can engage in this incredible experience we call music. In choir you will learn about the intricacies of reading and writing music as well as the technique to execute it. You will sing in many different languages and learn about cultures from all over the world. You will even learn about and create scientific phenomena with your own voice in this class! Every time you walk into the choir room your brain is going to get a supercharged workout, activating almost all parts of the brain. Beyond these academic skills, you will learn many life skills in the choir classroom. A good choral sound requires teamwork, listening, communication, and empathy (to name a few). You will also learn to build and sustain a community within the classroom. Finally, you will get to sing some fantastic music…and have a lot of fun doing it!

NOT A MEMBER YET?

Become apart of the choir family!

It is not too late to join choir next semester, talk to Ms. Z if you would like to change your schedule for next semester! No matter your skill level your voice is important to the choir!

"Music has the power of producing a certain effect on the moral character of the soul, and if it has the power to do this, it is clear that the young must be directed to music an must be educated in it."
